Great colour meter gadget from the manufacturer Opple Lighting for quick and inexpensive evaluation of light. The Light Master 4 is quickly and easily connected to an Android or Apple smart device via Bluetooth radio.

Immediately after successfully installing and starting the app, you receive measured values for

Gerät wurde zum Messen des Flackerns der Bildschirme (PWM) gekauft. Entgegen der Erwartung, dass nur Frequenzen bis ca. 10.000 Hz gemessen werden können, werden durchaus auch höhere Frequenzen angezeigt (im meinem Fall bis zu 36.500 Hz, aber das ist natürlich bildschirmabhängig). In der Risikoabschätzung wird der Flackerindex, die Modulationstiefe, die Frequenz sowie das Risiko in rot, gelb oder grün angezeigt. Außerdem kann der Flackerverlauf in den "Rohdaten" angezeigt werden. Interessant ist, wie sich dieser Verlauf bei der Veränderung der Bildschirmhelligkeit verhält (Helligkeit des Bildschirms ändern und dann auf "Start" in der App klicken). Augenfreundliche Bildschirme werden keine große Schwankungen haben. Da ich kein Referenzgerät habe, kann ich nicht abschätzen, wie genau die Daten sind. Die Messung der reinen Helligkeit (Photometrie) ergibt jedoch die durch den Bildschirmhersteller versprochene Helligkeit. Achtung: um zuverlässige Messungen am Bildschirm vorzunehmen, sollte der Sensor des Light Masters direkt am Bildschirm anliegen. Die Einrichtung des Geräts sowie das Koppeln mit dem Smartphone über Bluetooth verlief schnell und ohne Probleme. Aufgeladen wird über das Handykabel. Sicherlich gibt es Geräte, die noch besser und genauer sind, aber für den Preis ist Light Master ein perfektes und handliches Instrument zum Messen der Werte jeglicher Lichtquellen (auch LED-Lampen!).
